4) Trails

We found a few trails that can be enjoyed without major difficulties even if you do require a wheelchair to get around. For example, Cross County Trail has many sections (although unfortunately not all) which are accessible by wheelchair. In case you are an avid bird watcher or animal lover you’ll most likely find creatures to admire along the way. Then there’s Huntley Meadows Park which has paved wheelchair accessible trails and viewing platforms when you want to make a little break or simply bask in the beauty of a wonderful view. West Ox Road Sidepath is also among accessible trails. So, friends, don’t forget your binoculars & bottles of water and hope it doesn’t rain when you decide to roam through the great outdoors!

5) Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts

For a guaranteed good time don’t forget to stop by this wonderful venue! There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor happenings to choose from. You can take your pick between pop, country & orchestra events, theater, opera and all kinds of art performances. Inform the friendly staff about any additional needs you may have, and they will go above and beyond to make your experience as pleasant as possible.

6) National Firearms Museum

Even if you are not a gun person, this institution’s a treat! Plenty of one of a kind, antique weaponry, will make your jaw drop since this is one of the top collections of civilian and military firearms, ammunition and other weapon-related things. The time will fly by when you walk in to the world filled with engraved pistols and gorgeous rifles.
